TMM: Last Moments On Earth

It was Zakuro’s 21st birthday, I, Minto Aizawa, was now 18.
I decided to take her out dancing. Moment no Theme was the best place to go dancing.

As the loud music pounded in my head, and the flashing lights near blinded me, I tugged on Zakuro’s sleeve, and dragged her out to the dance floor.
“Come on, Oneesama! Let’s dance!” I had to yell over the music.
“I’d rather not, Minto” Zakuro smiled.
“Come on, Oneesama! It’s your birthday!”
Zakuro’s gaze turned to outside. Her wolf ears suddenly appeared. She knew something wasn’t right.
I could hear something outside… I’m sure Oneesama could, considering she has excellent hearing.
The music faded and the lights went out, at least in my world, they did.
Suddenly Zakuro grabbed my arm and leapt outside. I almost fell, but Zakuro caught me.
“Oneesama, what’s wrong?” I asked as she put me on the ground.
She muttered one word. “Pai.”


I woke up feeling dazed, hurt and confused.
“Zakuro?” I called and sat up “Oneesama!”
It was pitch black, but I could sense where everything was.
My eyes eventually adjusted to the light. The one thing I never wanted to see was right in front of me.
Zakuro’s cold, lifeless body.
I couldn’t understand what had happened…
“ZAKURO!! WHY??! WHY DID THIS HAPPEN?!?! WHY?!” I screamed. My long black hair fell in front of my eyes.
Zakuro’s beautiful opal-purple hair no longer shined as beautifully as it once had.
Her head was tilted to the side, and there was a trickle of blood coming down from the corner of her mouth.
Her right arm had fallen across her mid-section.
Her eyes were closed, which I was thankful for, because if they had been open…
Zakuro’s beautiful cashmere lavender sweater was torn above her elbows and her belly button.
Her jeans were torn as well, but not much more than her sweater…
The birthday present I had given her, Ai no Berry, was gone.
It was a beautiful necklace.
There were four gold brackets, with a large cross attached. It had a large sunflower-shaped jewel in the middle.
There were four ravens drawn onto the cross, one at each end of the cross.
I looked up. Pai was standing near Zakuro, swinging the Ai no Berry necklace around.
“This was bound to happen” he said. I tried to stand, my legs were wobbly, but I could stand.
“You bastard! Why did you do this?!” I screamed.
I finally noticed my own clothes were torn. My long sleeved top was torn at the bottom, leaving a large gap between it and my skirt.
The sleeves had been torn badly, and all the torn fabric fluttered in the late-night wind.
My skirt, almost the whole front had been ripped off, only some part have it remained, the back of my skirt had chunks of fabric missing. And my stockings had holes in them.
“You killed her!! You killed her!!” I screamed.
I cried my heart out. I knew I couldn’t bring Zakuro back.
“Why? Ever since you Mew Mews foiled my first plan I’ve hated you with a passion. I tried to destroy you all together, but that never worked. And I’ve finally achieved my dream…my dream of destroying the Mew Mews!” Pai raised his Fuu-Rai-Sen ready to attack me again.
I grabbed my pendant and shouted “MEW MEW MINTO METAMORPH-OSIS!!!” I could feel my anger rising, and I tried with all my self-control not to fly into blind rage.
“For the lost life of Zakuro, I’ll be of service!” I shouted. “Minto Arrow! Ribbon Minto Echo!” I shouted and aimed at Pai’s head.
Releasing the arrow it him with incredible accuracy. He probably died before the he even hit the ground.
